Vicksburg Independence Day
July 4th Celebration
Come join the fun for a fantastic Fourth of July celebration in downtown Vicksburg.
Featuring the fabulous... "Liverpool Legends." The best Beatles tribute band in the nation. Plus, Vicksburg’s famous fireworks display. Bring the entire family for an exciting celebration.
Program starts at 7:00PM, entertainment at 7:30PM and fireworks at 9PM. Come early and visit the Art Park at Catfish Row for a cool fun time in the Splash Fountain.
What to bring? Bring your lawn chairs and blankets. Vendors will be located throughout the event area to purchase refreshments and souvenirs.
Street Barricades: The following Streets will be blocked and/or posted by Police appropriately.
Tuesday July 3rd - 2PM until 4AM July 5th. Barricade at Levee Street and Grove Street and Levee Street and Jackson Street. This area will be blocked for staging and production set-up and tear-down.
Wednesday July 4th - 2PM until 11:00PM. Additional barricades to be added at Walnut Street and Grove Street, Washington Street and China Street, Walnut Street and China Street and Levee Street and Clay Street.
Art Park: Entrance at Clay and Levee to the Art Park will be for pedestrian access only. The Art Park will be open for access to the splash fountain.
Dock Area/Sweet Olive: Entrance and exiting to and from the dock area will be thru the exit area at Levee Street and Clay Street. No access in or out of the event areas will be allowed during the performance and fireworks display. Strictly enforced by Vicksburg City Police and County Sheriffs Department.
River Traffic: River traffic on the Yazoo Canel will be restricted and enforced during the fireworks display.
Stage Level Seating: All stage level seating is reserved for event sponsors and guest. Limited handicap seating will be available near the stage. Host will be available to assist seating assignments.
Hillside Seating: Hillside seating is available first come first serve. Bleacher seating at the top of the hill is also available.
Emergency/Lost and Found: Emergency and Police support will be located on Washington Street between Grove and Jackson Street.
