The Water Department is responsible for the maintenance of hundreds of miles of water lines throughout the City that delivers the clean, fresh drinkning water to your home. Our mission is to provide safe and reliable water with environmental integrity to the customers we serve. Services we provided include maintaining the water distribution, managing facilities, capital improvements, water meter replacement and planning for future needs, all with the most responsible use of financial resources.

When there is a break in the lines either planned or unplanned, we will issue a boil water notice instructing customers in the effected area to boil their water before consumption.

Boil Water Notice - Citywide - *Lifted*

warning Electrical power has been restored to the malfunctioning circuits at the Vicksburg water treatment facility and water pressure is returning to normal. However, a boil water order remains in effect until further notice for City of Vicksburg water customers as well as those of the Yokena-Jeff Davis system. Boil Water Notice - Washington, Rigby and Lee Streets

Due to repairs on a 16" water main residents in the following areas are asked to boil their water before consumption. Oak Street from Rigby Street south to Washington Street; Pearl Street from Lee Street south to Oak Street; Washington Street from Johnson Street south to Lee Street including all of Rigby Street. * * * LIFTED * * *

Boil Water Notice - North Frontage Road Area

Due to a 10" broken main the Water department has issued a boil water notice for customers in the North Frontage Road area from Clay Street to Haley's Point including Honey Suckle Lane, Haleys Point and 61 North to the City limits. Please boil your water until further notice. * * * Lifted * * *
