The City of Vicksburg Public Works Department maintains a database of all subdivision plats in the Vicksburg area and the Building & Inspection Department maintains a data base of all site plans for existing industrial, commercial, townhouse, and apartment developments built in the last three years. These listings detail information about the property owner,developer, the contractor, and the property itself. Site plans for single family detached homes are not kept on file with the department. Records of easements, encroachments, vacations, and annexation are also on file with the Public Works Department. All of these documents are free to view by the general public and can be copied for a nominal fee. For more information or to find a particular record, stop by the City of Vicksburg Public Works Department or the Building & Inspection Department located at 805 South Street, between 8:00 A.M. and 5:00 P.M.
