A building permit is required for any storage building over 120 square feet. A building plan and site plan showing lot size, property lines, and the location of all existing and proposed buildings must be approved by the City of Vicksburg Building & Inspection Department and the Zoning Administrator before a building permit will be issued. No storage sheds are allowed in a front setback. Sheds with less than 120 square feet do not require a building permit but still requires approval from the Zoning Administrator. For more information about storage shed and fees, contact the City of Vicksburg Building & Inspection Department located at 805 South Street, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, or call the department at (601) 634-4528. |
