Businesses seeking to distribute liquor in the City of Vicksburg must obtain a State of Mississippi Liquor license based upon demonstration that the surrounding neighborhood needs and desires issuance of the license. Applicants who are unfamiliar with the lengthy and detailed application process may want to consult an attorney or the Mississippi State Tax Commission for assistance in completing the application. All necessary beer permit and state application forms are available between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. in the Inspection Office located at 819 South Street.
