Vicksburg Mayor Paul E. Winfield will address the public in the first State of the City Address. The address will take place at the Vicksburg City Auditorium, 901 Monroe Street on Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at 6 P.M. Mayor Winfield will announce that since taking office in July, 2009 the City of Vicksburg has delivered budget surpluses in excess of 1 Million Dollars for 2009, 2010 and 2011. "The tourism industry has been a bright spot for Vicksburg, contributing a 7% increase in sales revenues in 2011," said Mayor Winfield. "We have unprecedented growth in our hospitality revenues in excess of 9.2%. We are excited to announce the entrance of numerous national chains and businesses to increase the city's diverse offerings." The City of Vicksburg will post the Mayor's power point presentation and Vision for Vicksburg documents on the City's website, www.vicksburg.org by 12P.M., January 31, 2012. |
