mayorMayor Paul Winfield was installed as President of the Mississippi Black Caucus of Local Elected Officials on June 25, 2012 during the summer conference of the Mississippi Municipal League in Biloxi, Mississippi.  Mayor Winfield will be responsible for increasing participation among elected officials, serving as a liaison to the Municipal League and for advocating policy decisions of particular interest to the African American community.  “I am honored that my peers chose me to serve in this leadership capacity to articulate the needs and concerns of African Americans in local government throughout the State of Mississippi,” said Winfield.   Mayor Winfield’s term as president will be for one year.
