There will be a tiny home driving thru the Vicksburg area and we want to let everyone know about it! Thursday May 19th from 5pm to 7pm at the Gazebo in front of the Blue Room Blues Marker (close to 601 Clay street by Catfish Park) AND then Friday May 20th from 10am to 2pm at the Vicksburg Home Depot, the "Just a Tiny Drop in the Bucket" Tour will be making a stop in Vicksburg.
The Project and Tour is sponsored by Prairie View A&M University as a prototype for high performance, small footprint, affordable home construction.
This is from the Dean of Architect at Prairie View A&M University, Shelly Pottorf: Our flyer explains the features of Tiny Drop. We want people to be clear that we built this as a prototype for high performance, small footprint, affordable home construction. Our goal is decidedly not to convince everyone that they should build their home on a trailer. Quite the contrary, that doesn’t really make sense in most cases. We built this prototype on a trailer so that we could move it around to expose as many people as possible to high performance construction and systems. So it would be well worth it for builders and realtors to come see it and learn about how they can use these systems to build affordable, energy efficient, resilient homes.
