The City of Vicksburg Fire Department has seven fire stations strategically located throughout the community. Groups of citizens, students, Cub Scouts, Brownies, and other organizations can request a tour of one of the stations. The locations of the fire stations are: Central Fire Station --1630 Walnut Street, Station 2 -- 4125 Indiana Avenue, Station 5 -- 5885 Highway 61 South, Station 6 -- 912 Cherry Street, Station 7 -- 3217 Washington Street, Station 8 -- 1290 South Frontage Road, and Station 9 -- 323 Waltersville Street. Tour groups learn about the responsibilities of the station, its personnel, and the assigned equipment through both fun and educational activities. Tour information is tailored to the group's specific needs or age.

The Vicksburg Fire Department recommends that groups be no larger than 20 people, and arrangements should be made at least two weeks in advance. To arrange a tour for your group or for additional information, stop by the City of Vicksburg Fire Department main offices, located at 1630 Walnut Street, between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, or call them at (601) 636-1603.
