The City of Vicksburg's contract with Waste Management for solid waste collection does not include collection of large appliances - commonly called White goods. By City ordinance if a contractor has uninstalled the appliance then the contractor is responsible for its disposal. If the resident has uninstalled the appliance, the City of Vicksburg requests the resident to haul the appliance to Keyes Metal Recycling on Hwy 61 North, drop off is free of charge. If the resident is not able to haul the large appliance they may call the City of Vicksburg's Action Line to request a work order for Wednesday pickup (Large appliance only). The appliance must be placed at within five (5) feet of curbline. The Action Line number is (601) 636-3411. Please keep in mind, if your appliance is still in good shape, one of the local charities may want your item. |
