The Department of Public Works is responsible for the programs and practices relative to the municipal public works. They oversee the operation and budgets for twelve different City departments. The goal of the department is to maintain and improve the public infrastructure of the City of Vicksburg and provide the necessary facilities, services, and access to meet public needs and attract new development to insure growth.
